The difference is the diameter of the hardened steel tubes (35 mm vs 50 mm), which means you get a larger stepper motor and more speed with the X-50.

This is a Woodworker X-35 (Original) with Stiffy that continues to prove itself capable of much more than wood carving. I’ll also say that I wouldn’t dare try any of this with comparable desktop brands because they look like they’d just fold right up under the pressure… while this Onefinity just keeps asking for more.Hey Kyle - 40-60ipm is reasonable and safe for most hobbyist machines. I’ve pushed mine to 100 so far without any problems. 176 is pretty fast - well outside the speeds capable by the X-Carve, but OF is capable of doing it.
