Tradovate and TS have pros and cons. TradeStation software is much more powerful. Their desktop app only runs on Windows though. Their mobile app is good although wouldn't really ever want to be trading on a phone. Commission is higher and futures margins are significantly higher.

So I feel Tradovate is the best option for most people, although it may be worth opening a TradeStation futures account for the charting, if nothing else for backtesting. There used to be a $2K minimum balance for their TS Select Plan but as far as I can tell they removed the minimum balance.I used tradovate for over a year as my main futures, if it was dependable i would have stayed. I use Sierra Chart and Stage 5 now, it’s cheaper with same style membership and you do not get problems. If you don’t mind learning a new software that takes a while, it is way better. Candles do not lag at all, ever.

Free platform. Comparable if not cheaper commissions than AMP. For scalpers i would say tradovate is the way to go if you get the commission free trading package. Other than that the platform is pretty laggy compared to quantower , ninja trader etc, but it is a good starter platform. I’ll look into this.
